Pastor Cheah Chee Moon begins his ‘Journey of Love’ by pulling his rickshaw from Penang to Kuala Lumpur.

Cheah was flagged off by Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow at Kompleks Masyarakat Penyayang on Jalan Utama here. After being escorted by six cyclists and five trishaw drivers to Penang jetty, he will continue the rest of the journey by himself. “By noon, the temperature can go up to 42 degrees, and under the shade, it can drop to about 36 degrees,” he told reporters before setting off.

“I have done similar charity events in other countries such as Cambodia, Vietnam and Indonesia,” he said, adding that he is planning another 1,800km trip from Kuching to Kota Kinabalu later this year.
