SHAH ALAM: PAS has denied allegations that the party was seeking allocations from the government to pay TikTok influencers to work for the party.
PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden said the influencers appointed by the party work on a voluntary basis. “They fight without pay from the party, but a minister mocks them by saying that when PAS asks for allocations for MPs, it’s to pay their influencers. “We would like to state today that our influencers work without being paid, and that has helped us achieve our victory today,” he said during his closing speech as PAS’s muktamar today.
Last week, economy minister Rafizi Ramli said allocations will be given directly to the people via new projects and aid, to avoid “some MPs” using the funds to pay TikTok influencers.
