Committee chair William Leong says review is in line with Harapan's pledge for Parliament to serve as check and balance on executive.

The Parliamentary Special Select Committee on Public Appointments will review the recent appointments of Abdul Hamid Bador as inspector-general of police and Tengku Maimun Tuan Mat as the chief justice.

He added the committee will also convene to discuss Abdul Hamid's appointment on a date which is yet to be fixed. "The discussion and review of the appointments by the special select committee are in furtherance of the aspirations stated in Promise 12 and Promise 16 of the Pakatan Harapan manifesto," he said in a statement.

Should have discussed before appointment. Now go think about how to make sure they do their jobs with the right level of integrity and accountability. This matters to rakyat.

You want Tun M to call you stupid too ?

Working with the dictator is just mr yes !!! Or dummy !!!

This is becoming ridiculous. And if William Leong and his gang do not agree with the appointments of Tengku Maimon and Abdul Hamid Bador, will there be another round of threats and resignations to force Tengku Maimon and Abdul Hamid Bador to resign as CJ and IGP?

Already appointed. What is there to discuss?
