Parents of death row inmate send clemency petition to Singapore president

THE parents of Michael Garing, who is scheduled to be executed at Changi Prison on Friday, have sent a clemency petition to the Singaporean president, said Lawyers for Liberty . Its adviser, N. Surendran, in a statement said the petition, dated yesterday, was hand-delivered this morning by Michael’s brother and other family members.
