KUANTAN: Kerajaan negeri akan memastikan pengiktirafan Tasik Chini sebagai Rezab Biosfera oleh Pertubuhan Pendidikan Saintifik dan Kebudayaan Bangsa-bangsa Bersatu tidak ditarik balik.
“Kerajaan negeri sedaya upaya memastikan pengiktirafan UNESCO terhadap Tasik Chini dapat dikekalkan,” katanya ketika menjawab soalan Lee Chean Chung pada sesi soal jawab Sidang Dewan Undangan Negeri Pahang Ke-14 di Wisma Sri Pahang, di sini hari ini. Beliau berkata, kerajaan negeri juga melaksanakan projek penghijauan Tasik Chini dengan menanam tanaman tutup bumi membabitkan tanah berkeluasan 200 hektar dengan kos RM3.95 juta yang dijalankan bermula 23 Ogos tahun lalu dan telah mencapai hampir 90 peratus.
