He said the funds would go towards implementing 482 projects to drive the state’s development for the people.
“Development allocation expenditure performance for the first quarter of this year was 6.3%, amounting to RM20.57mil. “The success in the implementation of the state development projects is a translation of civil servants’ efforts in fulfilling the pledge of public service to ensure the benefits of development reach the people.“As much as RM128mil in state government revenue has been collected until March this year, covering 24.67% of the annual target,” said Sayuthi in his speech during a gathering with civil servants together with Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow in Dewan Sri Pinang, George Town.
Sayuthi said that since Penang started its cashless payment initiative in 2020 in response to the call by World Congress on Innovation and Technology, as many as 23 state government departments had recorded an increase in the number of transactions, at 75.21%, exceeding the initial target of 60%.In recognising efforts to support cashless digitisation efforts, nine state government agencies received a total of RM300,000, which was presented by Chow.
