Palestinians,Al-Aqsa Mosque,Israeli Attacks

More than 60,000 Palestinian worshippers performed Eid al-Fitr prayers at the Al-Aqsa Mosque in East Jerusalem on Wednesday, but there was no festive atmosphere as they mourned the ongoing Israeli attacks in the Gaza Strip. Large contingents of Israeli police officers were deployed at the entrances, surroundings, and city streets, according to the Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem. However, witnesses reported that Israeli police attacked several individuals as they entered and exited the mosque in the Bab al-Asbat and Bab al-Silsila areas of the Old City. Israeli police also prevented some worshippers from entering Al-Aqsa, forcing them to pray outside the mosque's gates.
