KOTA KINABALU: More than 250 undocumented Indonesian immigrants will be deported over the next few days, says Sabah's National Security Council director Sitti Saleha.

She said the first batch of deportation on June 24 would involve 134 people, while another on June 26 would see 133 being sent back.

Sitti said all of the immigrants had been tested for Covid-19, and all health procedures had been observed before and during their deportation. “More than half a million illegal immigrants — 595,193 to be exact — have been deported from Sabah over the past few decades since the 90s, ” she said.
