Reezan Maju Agro Sdn Bhd director Mohd Sofiq Abdul Jalil, 48, said a prerequisite was an interest in farming.He added that his offer was open to Orang Asli throughout the country where his businesses are located.
“We need skilled workers at the farms and I feel that the Orang Asli are more than capable because of their knowledge of the natural environment,” said Mohd Sofiq who sponsored nasi briyani, fried chicken, lamb curry, fruits and dates for about 300 residents of Kampung Orang Asli Bukit Manchung in Bukit Beruntung, Rawang.
Serendah sub-district Penghulu Rusmi Minhat as well as Hulu Selangor Agriculture Department assistant agricultural officers Norazman Mohmad Naim and Mohd Syazwan Hasanuddin were also present.
