Opposition leader Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the request to sack the AG was due to the dismissal of two charges against Seremban Jaya’s DAP assemblyman P. Gunasekaran related to the Liberation Tigers of the Tamil Eelam terrorist group.
“The AG’s intervention in the court case is not something new either. Therefore, we hope the prime minister can advise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong for the AG to resign or be sacked,” he reporters at the Parliament lobby. Meanwhile, Ismail also claimed Thomas had used his powers to withdraw a corruption case involving Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng.
