Seramai 10 penjawat awam disyaki menerima rasuah lebih RM3 juta direman di Mahkamah Majistret Putrajaya bagi membantu siasatan Suruhanjaya Pencegahan Rasuah Malaysia dalam Op Samba 2.0 hari ini/BERNAMAPix: Seramai 10 penjawat awam termasuk seorang wanita direman selama empat hari bermula hari ini, kerana disyaki menerima rasuah lebih RM3 juta daripada sindiket penyeludupan tembakau, rokok dan arak.
Menurut sumber kesemua individu berkenaan berusia diantara 30-an hingga 50-an, ditahan bersama lima lagi individu menerusi Op Samba 2.0 ketika hadir di Ibu Pejabat SPRM bagi memberi keterangan, petang semalam. “Kesemua suspek yang ditahan dipercayai menerima wang rasuah lebih RM2 juta daripada sindiket, bagi memudahkan kegiatan menyeludup tembakau kunyah, rokok, arak serta beberapa barangan lain antara tahun 2017 hingga 2023,” katanya.
Sebelum ini, AML SPRM dilaporkan berjaya menahan 11 individu termasuk lima penjawat awam dan juga individu bergelar Datuk, yang turut direman bagi membantu siasatan.
