OnePlus might let Nord become an independent brand in the futuredevices have been popular options in the mid-range or entry-level markets. Therefore, it doesn't seem like a surprise with this, OnePlus could push Nord to become independent as the company sees it as a way for the brand to grow. This is not new, as we've seen other smartphone manufacturers executing this for their sub-brands. These include OPPO with realme, vivo with IQOO, and Xiaomi with POCO.

If it did happen, Nord would become an individual company. Besides becoming a standalone brand, it might also lead to having its own separate team and even physical stores. The source mentions that the primary focus could be strengthening Nord's offline presence, as the brand already has strong partnerships with third-party stores and authorized sellers.
