One more Covid-19 death, toll now 61

Malaysia today records 131 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total to 3,793. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Najjua Zulkefli, April 6, 2020.Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah also confirmed 131 new virus cases.He also said the last 24 hours saw the recovery of 236 patients. In all, 1,241 people have recovered and been discharged from hospital.

However 102 patients are still seeking treatment in intensive care units, with 51 needing respiratory support. On the latest death, Dr Noor Hisham said the victim was a 67-year-old man with a history of diabetes and high blood pressure. “He was treated at the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital in Terengganu from March 29 and was confirmed dead at 10.22am on April 5,” he said. – April 6, 2020.
