NVIDIA also didn’t forget to highlight the return of Max-Q for RTX 40 Series laptop GPUs which is rather apt given that it’s a mobile-specific technology. As part of the fifth-generation Max-Q implementation, the company has implemented ultra-low voltage GDDR6 video RAM together with DLSS 3 and a dynamic memory state switching feature called Tri-Speed Memory Control.
As you may expect, throngs of laptop manufacturers already committed to the RTX 40 Series laptop GPU including Acer, Alienware, ASUS, Dell, HP, GIGABYTE, Lenovo, MSI, Razer, and Samsung. The general rollout of the new GPU series will begin with RTX 4090 and RTX 4080 laptops on 8 February together with a starting price of USD1,999 .
The RTX 4070, RTX 4060, and RTX 4050 laptops will only follow suit a few weeks later on 22 February. The starting price for laptops powered by these mid-level RTX 40 Series laptop GPUS is USD999 according to NVIDIA.
