No written okay for 1MDB to buy Genting Sanyen, says witness

THE Kuala Lumpur High Court today heard that there was no written approval by then prime minister Najib Razak for the acquisition of Genting Sanyen Sdn Bhd by 1Malaysia Development Bhd . The matter was raised by Najib’s lawyer, Wan Aizuddin Wan Mohammed, when he cross-examined former 1MDB chief executive officer Shahrol Azral Ibrahim Halmi by referring the witness to the 1MDB directors’ circular resolution .
