Celebration called off even more it should be maintain a public holiday. With the MCO enforced, the public holiday is a significant remembrance that Malaysia is a multicultural country. Its a remembrance that through the effort of 3 major races that won Malaysia's Independence.

I am really not sure since I am not a lawyer & I am not sure if I got all the info here.But if a holiday has been gazetted, if at all it was by the legislature, is that not “by law”? That means although celebrations are cancelled, the holiday must stand! Has the law been broken?
