PONTIAN: Barisan Nasional's election machinery is focusing on getting voters to vote in the last lap of campaigning ahead of the Tanjung Piai by-election on Saturday (Nov 16).

Barisan Nasional's election machinery is focusing on getting voters to vote in the last lap of campaigning ahead of the Tanjung Piai by-election on Saturday .

"It's important to ensure the younger generation in the families here, voters who are away – and not just their parents – come back and come out. When asked, Hishammuddin said Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad's message to voters not to cast their votes in anger was no different from Pakatan Harapan's propagated anger towards the Barisan government in the past.

Meanwhile, during a ceramah the night before, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah said Dr Mahathir's high-profile visits to Tanjung Piai showed that Pakatan was worried."This means he is worried because people keep saying in Kuala Lumpur that should Tanjung Piai fall to Barisan Nasional, it would be bad for Pakatan," he said at a gathering near Econsave.
