“It was a complete misunderstanding. He has been a family friend for years with my parents and I know his children as well,” he said at Parliament yesterday. “If we look at the list of names of the richest people in Malaysia, such as Kuok, who gave him the key to become rice and sugar king? It was given to him by the ruling government,” Najib was quoted as saying.
“But, of course, the credit goes to them because they knew how to make money. They didn’t flaunt what was given to them. Meanwhile, Nazri said he acted on Najib’s orders to attack Kuok and accused the former prime minister of lying.“Whatever he said, I follow-lah. I have always been a street fighter. That’s my kind of language,” he told reporters in Parliament.“I got nothing to do with Kuok. You think I just wake up one morning and decided to whack ?”
