No more Brexit delay, Johnson tells EU

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson says he will not request another Brexit delay, despite MPs having passed a law that requires him to seek a postponement if he fails to secure a deal by the end of a make-or-break EU summit on October 17 and 18. – EPA pic, October 7, 2019.

BRITISH Prime Minister Boris Johnson yesterday warned the European Union that he will not delay Brexit beyond October 31, underlining that his latest proposals are the last chance to reach a deal. He told French President Emmanuel Macron in a telephone call that “the EU should not be lured into the mistaken belief that the UK will stay in the EU after October 31”, a Downing Street spokesman quoted Johnson as saying.
