GEORGE TOWN: Police have ruled out foul play in the death of Ewein Bhd founder and executive chairman Datuk Ewe Swee Kheng.

Penang deputy police chief Datuk Fisol Salleh said CCTV footage at the scene, including from inside his house, revealed no signs of intrusion.

"We have recorded statements from the deceased's 55-year-old wife, 24-year-old son and 21-year-old daughter."The three family members were asleep when he fell from the balcony on the 16th floor. "There was no note left behind and no traces of alcohol or drugs detected," said Fisol in a press conference Wednesday .

He said the case has been classified as sudden death after the post-mortem found Ewe to have died from multiple injuries due to a fall from height.The prominent property developer is believed to be linked to the Penang undersea tunnel project.
