PETALING JAYA: The fuel prices will remain the same for the following week.

The Finance Ministry said the prices of RON97 and RON95 petrol and diesel remained at RM2.64 per litre, RM2.08 per litre, and RM2.18 per litre respectively beginning Saturday until Dec 20.

"Based on the calculation under the Automatic Pricing Mechanism , the retail prices for both RON95 and diesel should be RM2.34 per litre and RM2.32 per litre respectively," it said in a statement on Friday . It added that the estimated subsidy to be borne by the government between Dec 14 and Dec 20 would be about RM111.44mil.Under this system, fuel prices are announced every Friday and remain in force for one week.
