PETALING JAYA: Nilai jualan sektor pembuatan pada Ogos 2023 berjumlah RM152.3 bilion, turun 3.3 peratus selepas merekodkan negatif 3.0 peratus bulan sebelumnya, menurut Jabatan Perangkaan Malaysia . Menurut Ketua Perangkawan, Datuk Seri Dr. Mohd. Uzir Mahidin, penurunan dipengaruhi terutamanya oleh subsektor Petroleum, kimia, getah dan plastik yang turun 12.1 peratus, mencatatkan penurunan dua digit selama tiga bulan berturut-turut.
