Next-gen Apple Watch Ultra could feature 3D-printed parts | TechNave

If you enjoy the outdoors, getting a solid watch can be important. Last year's Apple Watch Ultra is one of the more robust options in the smartwatch category, even surviving hammers! But could its successor do the same if there's a change to how its parts are made?

According to the analyst Ming-chi Kuo, the next Apple Watch Ultra could use 3D-printed mechanical parts. Apple will allegedly make some of the titanium metal parts of the new watch with 3D printing technology. The printed parts will still go through the CNC machining process, which should refine the printed parts.

Both are important if Apple wants to sell more of its upcoming Apple Watch 2 Ultra , which is expected to launch in 2H 2023. Lower production time and cost could also lead to a more affordable successor, but we can't guarantee that.
