So far, we've seen only a couple of rumours about the next Apple Pencil, the stylus mostly associated with the brand's iPad products. One is that they will come with interchangeable magnetic tips, and the other is that they may be released alongside the upcoming iPad Air and Pro models. A new one has been making the rounds, claiming that an upcoming model can work with the Apple Vision Pro mixed reality headset.
This comes from MacRumors, citing sources familiar with the matter. Said source claims that the bitten fruit has internally tested a new Apple Pencil model with visionOS support. The combination will allow the stylus' use with the headset's drawing apps like Freeform and Pixelmator. And for the stylus' pressure and tilt sensitivity features to be utilised, a user simply needs to draw on a wall or table while within the headset's field of view.
There's also a matter of software, the report points at this element being only applicable to the headset. If indeed a new Pencil will be unveiled alongside the tablets, then we won't have long left to wait before we find out.
