PETALING JAYA: Does shuttler Ng Tze Yong have what it takes to become a world beater?

Coach Hendrawan believes the answer depends on whether Tze Yong can rise to the challenges as he will be thrown in at the deep end when the world tour resumes with the Malaysian Open next month.

Based on his ranking, Tze Yong will compete in the Malaysian Open , Indian Open , Indonesian Masters and the Thailand Masters . “Both are strong opponents and a good chance to gauge his level in this kind of situations. At least, Tze Yong can try to play his best game and anything can happen.” “We hope he will reach top 20 in the world by the end of 2023. Once he is there, it gets tougher to progress into the top 16 where he needs to be consistent to claim a spot in the Olympics,” said Hendrawan.
