y and reception among the public. Accordingly, Netflix will be previewing its video content in advance to selected subscribers to gauge their reception as well as to gain feedback for improvements.
According to IT Home, more than 2,000 subscribers can currently preview Netflix’s original content before their release and have been doing so since one year ago. Now, the video streaming company is planning to further expand the programme to “tens of thousands” of users worldwide next year. Of course, this is not actually something revolutionary as the same practice has been done by Hollywood and other media creators for quite some time now. Usually, Hollywood movie producers would make a screen test of their upcoming films to see audiences’ reactions and will alter certain things based on their feedback.
Most of the time, this practice involves a non-disclosure agreement for those that previewed the content so as to curb them from revealing to the public what they’ve seen. However, do take this information with a grain of salt as Netflix has yet to release any statement addressing this alleged new practice of previewing its original content.
