Netanyahu goes on defence in rare TV interview

ISRAELI Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has given a rare and unscheduled television interview to combat his rivals’ allegations of improper behaviour before elections next month. Last night’s interview with Channel 12 came shortly before he boarded a plane for Washington, where he is due to meet US President Donald Trump and address the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, a pro-Israel lobby.
