PETALING JAYA: The police and the Cus­toms Department made the country’s biggest drug bust and arrested 13 suspects, including nine foreigners, in two separate raids in Shah Alam.

PETALING JAYA: The police and the Customs Department made the country’s biggest drug bust and arrested 13 suspects, including nine foreigners, in two separate raids in Shah Alam.

In the first raid at Jalan PPAJ 1/1, Pusat Perdangan Alam Jaya, the raiding party seized 11 gunny sacks containing over 500kg of white powder believed to be ketamin.Several hours later, two of the suspects led the raiding team to another shophouse at Jalan Musytari U5/AN, Subang Pelangi, U5 Shah Alam, where three tonnes of compressed bricks believed to be cocaine were found.“It is the biggest drug bust in Malaysian history,” he told The Star.

“We aim to get rid of the drug menace in this country,” he said, crediting his men and the police with carrying out the operation.It was also learnt that the suspects and drugs had been taken to Bukit Aman.
