Ashraf is the 18th witness to testify at the High Court here on the eighth day of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's corruption trial, involving SRC International Sdn Bhd. In a cross examination later, by Najib's counsel Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abudllah questioned Ashraf whether he knew that Habibur, who has a background in accounting, was also a political analyst, to which Ashraf replied yes.Najib faces seven charges involving RM42mil belonging to SRC International Sdn Bhd.
On July 4 last year, Najib claimed trial to a charge of abuse of power and three counts of criminal breach of trust linked to the 1MDB scandal.On Aug 8 last year, he appeared in court again and was charged with three counts of money laundering involving the same RM42mil.
