Bekas presiden Umno Najib Razak bersama-sama ahli parti itu pada mesyuarat perwakilan Umno Setiawangsa hari ini.
Kenyataan Najib itu dipercayai berkait desas-desus bahawa Umno kembali berdepan krisis perpecahan berikutan pengumuman Zahid untuk kembali memimpin parti itu Ahad lepas. Ketika ditemui media selepas majlis perasmian itu, Najib menolak dakwaan bahawa Umno kini kembali menghadapi perpecahan selepas Zahid kembali menerajui parti.
Umno dilaporkan berpecah kepada 4 kumpulan selepas Zahid memenangi jawatan presiden parti itu tahun lepas sehingga membawa kepada desakan supaya beliau mengundurkan diri kerana dilihat tidak mampu mengurus dan mengemudikan parti. Kumpulan ke-3 pula, merupakan kelompok yang menyokong Anwar Ibrahim sebagai perdana menteri kerana janji tertentu, selain berpendapat presiden PKR itu tidak akan mendapat laluan mudah seperti disebut dalam perjanjian Pakatan Harapan tentang penggiliran jawatan dengan Dr Mahathir Mohamad.
