Nagaenthran got to wear his favourite outfit before his death, says activist

PETALING JAYA: The late Nagaenthran Dharmalingam had one of his last wishes granted before his execution in Singapore, says an activist.

“The photos are given to the family shortly before or after execution,” Han said in a Facebook post on Wednesday .Han said Nageanthren’s brother Navin Kumar told her that this was the deceased’s favourite outfit. Meanwhile, Amnesty International said that another Malaysian, Datchinamurthy Kataiah, is scheduled to be executed in Singapore this Friday , also for a drug-related offence.“International safeguards guaranteeing protections of the rights of those facing the death penalty state that executions may not be carried out pending any appeal or other recourse procedure,” said Amnesty International Asia Pacific regional director Erwin van der Borght.
