MYANMAR : Border trade volume between Myanmar and China has hit US$10 million daily now, as trade activities have resumed since end-February. Myanmar-China border trade volume was reduced to about US$1 million daily before the end of February due to Covid-19 outbreak, according to a statement from the Ministry of Commerce.

Although trade activities in Muse 105-mile border trade centre have not stopped, trade volume was between US$10 and US$15 million daily before the travel restrictions in China. It was reduced to between US$1 million and US$2 million daily after the travel ban in China. However, trade activities resumed from Feb 24, and the trade volume has reached US$10 million daily -- close to normal level, according to the announcement. - Eleven Media Group/Asia News Network
