Muslims can take vaccine jab during Ramadhan, says Zulkifli

The fatwa council has ruled that vaccination is permissible during the fasting month, says Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri. – The Malaysian Insight pic by Afif Abd Halim, March 23, 2021.

MUSLIMS in the country are allowed to receive the Covid-19 injection during the Ramadan month as it will not invalidate the compulsory fasting. Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Dr Zulkifli Mohamad Al-Bakri noted that the decision was made in a special meeting held by the Muzakarah Committee of the National Council for Islamic Religious Affairs two months ago.
