KUALA LUMPUR - Leong Mun Yee sudahpun memahat sejarah apabila bakal menjadi atlet Malaysia paling banyak beraksi dalam Sukan Olimpik selepas melayakkan diri ke temasya Tokyo 2020.

Kejayaan meraih pingat perak bersama Pandelela Rinong dalam acara 10 meter platform seirama wa­nita pada Kejohanan Dunia di Gwangju, Korea Selatan kelmarin memberikan tiket Olimpik kelima buat penerjun kelahiran Perak itu selepas membuat penampilan sulung di Sydney 2000.

“Misi hanyalah la­yak ke Olimpik dan untuk itu kami perlu meraih kedudukan tiga terbaik. Kami berjaya dapat perak. Kedua-dua penerjun hanya membuat persediaan singkat dalam tempoh tidak sampai sebulan berlatih bersama, justeru meraih perak memberi seribu makna buat Mun Yee dan Pandelela.
