TANAH MERAH, July 2 ― National Recovery Council chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has refuted allegations made by Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi that the council had been ineffective in tackling issues faced by the rakyat.

“Whether it had failed or not, this depends on the government and it is up to the people to assess the extent of the role the council has played in helping the government and the Cabinet to make decisions related to the country’s economic and social recovery. “If there is something new which is not listed and it is important, we will inform the government. As such, I leave it to the people to judge, sometimes when politicians make a statement, there is a political ploy behind it,” he said.

Earlier, the media reported Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as saying that the MPN, from the very beginning, had not achieved the desired results and only served as a government advisor.

What has the council been doing since January?

As a rakyat, I say the NRC should be disbanded. It's another failed council, otherwise why are they setting up a special task force just to fight inflation? Everything this guy touches becomes a failure. Gagal!

Dare to have a vote?

Epitome of the word, 'backstabber'!

What are the key indicators that will ensure the success of the council. Otherwise its just another govt department without aim, without reason and without any successes.
