KUALA LUMPUR (Bernama): Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin was back in the office on Monday (Oct 19) after completing a 14-day self-quarantine at home which ended last Friday.

He resumed duty by first chairing the Economic Action Council meeting held via a special video conference to discuss the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the Johor economy.

"Among matters discussed was the proposal to set up a special task force to collect data and statistics of Johoreans working in Singapore. Also discussed is the application for funding by the Johor state government to revive the tourism industry following the Covid-19 pandemic which has had a major impact on the sector.

It also includes measures to strengthen existing public health capabilities and further solutions to contain the outbreak.
