Muda said among the main reasons for its decision to pull out of the unity government to be a"third force" was the discharge not amounting to an acquittal granted to Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi on graft charges.
“This goes against the principles of the Madani government in fighting corruption,” Muda said in a statement Sunday . Muda said that following the decision on Ahmad Zahid’s case, the party said it believed that the country's legal institutions had been corrupted and the unity government seemed to be normalising the culture of corruption.
Muda also panned the unity government for not fulfilling reforms promised before the 15th General Election.
