MPS corporate communications director Mohamad Zin Masoad said this following their visit to the site along with Gombak Setia state assembly office members, which took place on Wednesday morning.
"We see this a matter of the utmost importance – especially in the environmental cleanliness aspect. Stern action will be taken against any party found irresponsibly and illegally discarding waste at the site," Mohamad Zin said in a statement Wednesday. MPS also confirmed that there will be a gotong-royong on Thursday at 5pm, with about 200 volunteers expected, to help clean up the site.
According to MPS, JKR will place concrete blocks as a barricade on the riverbanks while major cleaning works are carried out.
Just wondering, how the street light that he proposed will help to resolve this issue, as he said it was usually done at night when not many ppl around? I get it if it’s for safety reason but for this case? I doubt the street light will bring much impact.
