Choong Chee Wei, 20, pleaded guilty to the charge read to him before Tawau High Court deputy registrar Amir Shah Amir Hassan on Wednesday .
According to the facts of the case, Choong committed the offence at about 12.30am on Jalan Chong Thien Vun on Feb 23.He then sped off, rode against traffic and refused to stop when instructed.Choong was eventually nabbed when his motorcycle broke down several kilometers away.Earlier on another charge, Choong was fined RM400 for riding without a license at the same time, day and location.

Throw the book at m-cyclists for not using bike lanesThey do not slow down when motorists are trying to change lanes. Instead, the motorcyclists will blare their horns or show an obscene gesture at the drivers. And worse still so many zooming motorbikes on bicycle lanes. And even the traffic police do it!! Jalan Ampang where tourists walk around. Wow the sense of entitlement in that letter, I sense anger management issues. This has been happening since 1995 when the federal hiway was being develop with lrt etc. Ever since they don't bother. However, u must see the bike lanes at certain stretches to be non existent or in deplorable stage. Enforcement, improvement both required herein.
