KUALA LUMPUR: A total of 2,740,609 individuals or 87.1% of the adolescent population aged between 12 and 17 have completed their Covid-19 vaccination as at 11.59pm on Wednesday.
Based on the Health Ministry’s CovidNow portal, 2,837,402 individuals or 90.2% of the group have received at least one dose of the vaccine, Bernama reported. Meanwhile, 22,827,262 individuals or 97.5% of the adult population have completed their vaccination, while 23,129,645 or 98.8% have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
A total of 177,272 doses of the vaccine were administered yesterday, comprising 169,380 booster doses, 4,675 second doses and 3,217 first doses. This brings to a total of 56,394,970 doses of the vaccine administered with 5,055,934 being booster doses under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme.
