THE number of asthma, conjunctivitis and respiratory tract infection cases in Sarawak have increased due to the smoke in the state. The Health Ministry, in a statement yesterday, said from monitoring at 15 sentinel facilities in the state, it found that asthma cases increased from 258 cases from June 30 to September 7, to 307 cases between Sept 8 and 14.
