PETALING JAYA: Malaysians took to social media to voice their frustration over the high number of daily Covid-19 cases despite the movement control under Phase One of the National Recovery Plan. Financial analyst Daniel Lee said unlike the first movement control order in March last year, the current restrictions had not yielded the necessary results.

Facebook user Sashikala Rajaratnam said: “The government needs to come up with a way to open up safely. It’s a question of livelihood now as the infections are not going down.”

Supervisor T. Roshene Malar said the inter-district and interstate travel ban had caused families to be apart for a long time. “But many people are still not taking vaccination seriously. There must be non-stop awareness on the importance of vaccination, focusing on rural areas,” she said. Twitter user @amille48 said: “What difference does the control make? Absolutely none. The test positivity rate is exactly the same.”

We should sack and replace the PM for repeatedly fumbled in his management. We can't be complacent as this is of lives and livelihood issue.

It’s probably reasonable to estimate that 80% of cases are from 20% of areas (yeah, pareto). Immunise these badly affected communities first. Vaccinate districts, not industries.

Just stop PCR testing!!! It’s not appropriate testing for Covid which is said by so many scientists and medical professors in the world! Don’t do mass testing. 4000?! Never achieved unless stopping PCR mass testing!

I thot lockdown to carry out mass testings n identify silent carrier especially at factories & construction sites . But hardly any mass testings except in Selangor in KL. What’s the piint of lockdown? Reduce movements & Wait for cases to appear on own ?!
