"I was originally scheduled to swear-in on March 9 , but was asked to come for the ceremony today," the Barisan Nasional leader told reporters at Parliament today. On the current political turmoil, Mohamad said he opted for the wait-and-see approach and left the matter to the"wisdom of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri'ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah in reaching the right decision".
"I have received numerous phone calls and messages from my constituents, asking about the issue. We could only give information that we have at the moment." Mohamad won the seat with a 2,029-vote majority against Parti Warisan Sabah after obtaining 12,706 votes in the parliamentary by-election on Jan 18.
