During Saifuddin’s visit, he was shown a number of short films by the varsity’s students.

During his recent visit to the varsity’s Cyberjaya campus, Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Abdullah said while Wisma Putra’s cultural missions have attended numerous cultural programmes and international film festivals, few visitors are familiar with Malaysian-made creative content.

The varsity’s student-made short films, he added, are highly regarded, reflect the country’s socioeconomic reality, and are well-suited to be screened to visiting foreign diplomats. “Through the guidance of lecturers, some students have been able to bring their films to some celebrated film festivals, such as the Singapore International Film Festival, the Cardiff International Film Festival in the United Kingdom, and the Fano International Film Festival in Italy,” he shared.
