Mitra Special Vehicle Committee chairman Datuk Ramanan Ramakrishnan gave his assurance that under his tenure there would be no misappropriation of funds.
"All the names of the recipients will also be published on Mitra’s website for further transparency. We want the grant to benefit as many people as it can," he told the press here on Friday . "It is also worth mentioning that just because they asked for say RM300,000, they will receive the requested amount, instead it will be determined by the committee, which is currently looking through the applications," he said.
Some 4,500 Indian B40 children will stand to benefit from this. The application for the kindergarten subsidy had been extended until May 28 .
