Miti must explain security breach, says Kian Ming

Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming says Miti risks losing the confidence of the public and stakeholders if it does not come clean over the leak. – The Malaysian Insight file pic, June 3, 2022.

THE Ministry of International Trade and Industry must explain why employee data from companies, which had registered for the government’s Covid-19 vaccination programme for the private sector , was left open to the public on the Miti website, Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming said. According to Ong, Miti must also inform the companies whose data was leaked, so that they can take the necessary precautions.
