“It is not wrong to campaign, the choice is that of consumers whether to buy Muslim or non-Muslim products. This is an open market. We cannot force the people to buy,” he told reporters at a walkabout programme with Tekun Nasional entrepreneurs yesterday.

What a stupid SPIN. If it's OK to 'campaign to buy Muslim or non-muslim prod cos pp can chose - then why even bother? If so, then we can also hv an 'Eat More Pork' campaign cos customers can also choose too! Right?

Minister got misslead the country

This minister has a very simple mind. Hitler only wanted to create a 'pure' race but along the way he just killed a couple of million jews. The problem here is buy Muslim product is a front, the narrative is more like buy products made by Malays to the exclusion of non Malays.

DO NOT MAKE IT SO OBVIOUS, LEAVE THE CHOICE TO THE RAKYAT. TRY NOT TO BONGSIFIED THE THINKING OF A PARTICULAR RACE.

It’s everybody’s right to buy whatever they want. No need to keep harping on this issue. Why do Malay / Muslim leaders like to harp on this? Can’t we just move on? If you want to stay behind, by all means do it yourself. Don’t involve the nation.

He should also say support “Buy Hindu Products” and “Buy Taoist Products”, campaigns etc are not wrong right? Or let’s ask does he dare to say “Buy Jewish Products” are not wrong?

So the minister is effectively saying, as long as employers do not boycott Muslim candidates, they can adopt a “Hire Chinese candidates first” or “Give Indians higher priority” at the point of hiring new employees. This is so racist, why chedetofficial keeps him in the PH govt?
