Microsoft May Announce Surface Pro 10, Surface Laptop 6 On 21 March

On one hand, it's probably not that surprising to see Microsoft announcing a new Surface product. But according to Windows Central, the company will be announcing two devices, the Surface Pro 10 and the Surface Laptop 6 later this month. Making things an even bigger deal is that both will come in Intel and Arm flavours.

The report cites sources who claim that the devices are expected to have their veils lifted on 21 March, shipping with Intel Core Ultra- and Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite-based processors. This is especially significant for the Microsoft Surface laptop, as it would be the first of its kind to have an Arm processor.

On what differences each of this will sport compared to their predecessors, the report notes that the Microsoft Surface Pro 10 will not look too different compared to the Surface Pro 9. One key upgrade is the inclusion of an anti-reflective OLED screen that is brighter, with support for HDR content. There's also an wide-angle webcam with AI Studio Effects and, interestingly, an NFC reader.

As for the Microsoft Surface Laptop 6, the report notes bigger diffreences, from thinner bezels with rounded corners to a dedicated Copilot key. This may be the first example we see of this, following the company's own announcement from January. Ports on this include two USB-C and one USB-A on the left, and the magnetic Surface Connector on the right.

Despite sharing an announcement date, these two will not be shipping at the same time. According to the report, the Microsoft will first ship the Intel models of both in April, with the Arm versions getting shipped in June instead.
