The department said that conditions were expected to persist until the end of October involving most states in the peninsula, northern Sarawak, western Sabah and Labuan.
The observation was made following the analysis by the MET Malaysia Weather Research and Forecasting Model , the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and the Global Forecast System . “This situation has the potential to cause the formation of thunderstorm clouds that can bring heavy rain and strong winds in the evening until at night in most states in the peninsula, northern Sarawak, western Sabah and Labuan,” MetMalaysia said in a statement on Sunday .
It added that the public can get more information on the latest weather updates from its official website at www.met.gov.my, social media or by downloading the myCuaca application.
