Tindakan boleh diambil ke atas Dr Mahathir Mohamad susulan beberapa langkah beliau yang dilihat berlawanan dengan disiplin parti.
Beliau memberitahu FMT, setidak-tidaknya keahlian Mahathir boleh digantung, sekali gus menghilangkan kelayakan beliau untuk bertanding merebut jawatan pengerusi. Perwakilan dari 189 bahagian parti sepatutnya mengundi bagi memilih calon untuk jawatan tertinggi PPBM pada 18 April dalam mesyuarat masing-masing, tetapi terhalang susulan penularan wabak Covid-19 apabila JPPM melarang semua pertubuhan daripada menganjurkan apa-apa acara sehingga 30 Jun depan.
Sebagai presiden PPBM, Muhyiddin berdepan 2 pencabar, iaitu daripada timbalan presiden Mukhriz Mahathir dan calon tidak dikenali, Mohd Faiz Azli Sham.
